# The best Reddit alert tools in 2026

**In short**

Judge a Reddit alert tool on three things: **what arrives**, **where it can be sent**, and **what
stops it arriving**. Price is the fourth, and it is the one most comparisons start and finish
with.

Six tools are compared below on the first three, at each one's cheapest paid plan, with every
figure read off that vendor's own pricing page. Redwatcher is a Reddit monitoring tool that scores
every keyword match for relevance before it alerts you: $29 a month, all four destinations, and no
cap on what reaches you.

## What actually arrives, and where it can go

Destinations are quoted for the **cheapest paid plan**, because that is the one most people buy and
it is where the difference is largest. Several tools include a chat integration or a webhook only a
tier or two above their headline price.

| Tool | From | Destinations at the entry price | What caps what reaches you |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |

| ![](img/logos/octolens.png)[Octolens](/octolens-alternative) | $199 | Slack, email, API, webhooks and MCP on every plan | 15,000 mentions included, then $0.013 each — metered rather than stopped, unless you set a spend cap |
| ![](img/logos/syften.svg)[Syften](/syften-alternative) | $29.95 | email at entry; Slack and API from $49.95; webhooks on PRO at $119.95 | 100 community results a day on entry, 200 and 500 above it |
| ![](img/logos/f5bot.svg)[F5Bot](/f5bot-alternative) | free tier, then $9.99 | email at $9.99; Slack from $49.99; webhooks and the API from $214.99 | 10 / 30 / 100 / 500 alerts per keyword per day, and the keyword is switched off over the cap |

| ![](img/logos/sublookout.svg)SubLookout | $12 | alert destinations not published | structurally bounded: 10 monitors of 20 subreddits and 20 keywords |

## Tool by tool

Each card lists the same four facts at that tool's cheapest paid plan: what the plan includes, where
alerts can be sent, what limits how many reach you, and whether anything judges a match before it is
sent.

| At the cheapest paid plan | |
| --- | --- |
| What the entry plan includes | 25 keywords and 25 subreddits at $29, and every feature on every size |
| Destinations at that price | email, Slack, Telegram and webhooks on every plan |
| What caps what reaches you | no per-keyword and no per-day cap |
| Judged before it is sent | every match scored 0 to 100 on every plan, with the reasons attached and no usage billing |

| --- | --- |
| What the entry plan includes | 10 keywords at $199 a month ($159 billed annually), then $10 for each one after |

**How we checked**

**Read off their own pages.** Every price, destination and limit above comes from that vendor's own
pricing page, read tier by tier.

**Dated.** 30 August 2026 and 21 August 2026. Prices change, and a figure here is only as good as its read date.

**Not scored on anything unpublished.** Where a vendor does not state a limit, the table says so,
and we do not guess at a number.

## What a daily cap actually throws away

An alert tool with a daily or per-keyword limit is making a decision you never get to see. Nothing
about relevance decides which matches it drops. It drops whatever arrived once the allowance had
run out, and on a busy week for a term you care about, that is exactly when the one you needed
turns up.

The other way to do it is to judge each match and let you set the bar. Redwatcher scores every match
from 0 to 100 for relevance in context and sends what clears the score you chose. Everything below
it is kept and counted in the app.

![The Redwatcher inbox for a Klaviyo project: a thread scored 94, a competitor comparison scored 88, and a job post scored 24 and skipped, each with the reasons underneath](img/product-inbox.png "**What the bar does instead of a cap.** Every thread carries its score and the reasons behind it, and anything under the score you set is skipped and counted, never dropped for arriving late in the day.")

![Redwatcher's alert destinations: a Slack message, a Telegram message and a signed webhook payload](img/product-alerts.png "**The same match, in three places.** Slack, Telegram and a signed webhook payload, each carrying the thread, the score and the reasons.")

## What the entry price includes

The other half of the same question, because an allowance that runs out works as a cap once it
does.

| Tool | From | What the entry plan includes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| ![](redwatcher-icon.svg)**Redwatcher** | $29 | 25 keywords and 25 subreddits at $29, and every feature on every size |
| ![](img/logos/octolens.png)[Octolens](/octolens-alternative) | $199 | 10 keywords at $199 a month ($159 billed annually), then $10 for each one after |

| ![](img/logos/subwatch.png)SubWatch | $9 | allowance not published |
| ![](img/logos/sublookout.svg)SubLookout | $12 | 20 keywords across 20 subreddits at $12 |

![Redwatcher's setup asking where alerts should be sent, offering Slack, Telegram, email and a signed webhook](img/product-alerts-setup.png "**All four destinations are chosen at setup.** No tier gates a channel, and each one has a test button that sends a real message.")

## Which one to pick

- **You want every destination on the cheapest plan.** Redwatcher includes email, Slack, Telegram
and webhooks at $29, with no per-keyword or per-day limit.
- **You are watching a term that gets busy.** What matters is what happens on the day it does. A
per-keyword daily cap answers that by dropping whatever arrived last. A score answers it by
  relevance.
- **You need alerts routed into your own system.** Check which tier carries webhooks. On several
tools it is one or two tiers above the headline price.
- **You are tracking more than a hundred keywords or subreddits.** That is a custom plan here, and
worth pricing against the per-keyword and per-mention charges some tools add above their
  allowance.

## Tools that are not in this table

- **Tools that write replies for you.** Some Reddit tools draft or post replies on your behalf. That
is a different product with a different risk, because posting under your name carries account
consequences that have been publicly reported, and it is not what this page compares.
- **General media suites.** They publish little about Reddit specifically, and a comparison built
out of gaps would say more about what we could read than about their product.

## Reddit alert tools: questions people ask

### What is the best Reddit alert tool?
The one whose entry plan sends where you work and does not cap what reaches you. On both counts
Redwatcher includes email, Slack, Telegram and webhooks at $29 with no per-keyword or per-day limit,
and scores every match before sending it. The full scoring across five criteria is on
[the ranked comparison](/best-reddit-monitoring-tools).

### What do Reddit alerts cost?
Redwatcher is $29 a month for 25 keywords and 25 subreddits, $49 for 50 and 50, and $89 for 100 and
100, with all four destinations and no cap on any of them. The trial runs seven days and takes no
card. The table above quotes every other tool at its own cheapest paid plan.

### Which Reddit alert tools send to Slack?
Several, but rarely on the cheapest plan, which is why the destination column above quotes each tool
at its entry price. Redwatcher includes Slack, Telegram, email and webhooks on every plan.

### Do Reddit alert tools cover comments?
The Reddit-native ones do, and it matters: most of the conversation you could answer on Reddit
happens in the comments, not in the post that started the thread.

### Do any of these tools post replies for you?
None of the tools compared here. Some Reddit tools do, and they are left out of this comparison
because posting under your name is a different product with a different risk.

### Which Reddit alert tools include a webhook?
Redwatcher on every plan, and Octolens on every plan. On the others a webhook sits above the entry
tier, which the destination column above states for each one.

### How do I set one up?
Add the words, name the subreddits, set the bar, connect a channel and send a test.
