# The best ParseStream alternative for Reddit monitoring in 2026

Canonical: https://redwatcher.com/parsestream-alternative

**In short**

**ParseStream is a lead generation tool that finds threads on Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, X and
Hacker News and drafts your reply. Its $29 plan has 20 Reddit keywords and one seat. The better
ParseStream alternative for Reddit is Redwatcher: 25 keywords in 25 subreddits for $29 a month,
every match scored, unlimited team members, and the reply left to you.**

ParseStream's figures were read from parsestream.com, and Redwatcher's from
redwatcher.com/pricing, on 20 September 2026.

The last of the six steps ParseStream's page describes is the reply, and suggested replies are on every plan.
If what you want is to be told which Reddit threads are worth answering, and to write the answer
yourself, you are paying for a step you will not use.

[Redwatcher](/) is a Reddit monitoring tool. Tracks keywords, brand mentions and competitors across
the subreddits you choose, scores every match for relevance, and alerts by email, Slack, Telegram or
webhook around the clock. From $29/month per project.

**How we checked**

**Read off ParseStream's own home page on 20 September 2026.** Every ParseStream price, allowance
and feature below comes from [parsestream.com](https://parsestream.com/), which holds its plan
cards, its billing switch and its FAQ. There is no page at parsestream.com/pricing. We set the
switch both ways and checked the monthly prices against the
price list in the page's own code, and the two agree. We have not used a paid ParseStream plan.
Redwatcher wrote this page. We took the homepage
screenshot on 30 August 2026 and again on 20 September 2026, when it had not changed, and the plan
cards on 20 September 2026.

## Why do people look for a ParseStream alternative?

Because ParseStream is a different product from a monitor. Its home page describes six steps
that end in a reply: it finds a mention, its Lead Detection tags the intent, it notifies you by
email, and it drafts a reply in one of four approaches for you to copy and post. Its FAQ says lead generation is the primary win. Read from [parsestream.com](https://parsestream.com/) on
20 September 2026.

## What does ParseStream cost?

$29, $79 or $199 a month billed monthly, or $24, $67 or $169 a month billed yearly, with an
Enterprise plan priced on request, and the page opens on yearly billing. Read from

## ParseStream review: what does its $29 plan include for Reddit?

Twenty Reddit keywords, 20 Hacker News keywords, no Quora, LinkedIn or X keywords, 15,000 credits,
one domain and one team seat, with suggested replies, AI filters, lead and intent detection, a
subreddit filter, and email and Slack notifications. The card does not say what a credit is, and
the FAQ says that when you reach a limit on keywords, credits or brands you upgrade the plan or
contact sales. Its FAQ also says it monitors posts and comments across all public subreddits, and
that you can restrict monitoring to specific subreddits. Read from
[parsestream.com](https://parsestream.com/) on 20 September 2026.

## Why Redwatcher is the better ParseStream alternative for Reddit

1. **Twenty-five keywords in 25 named subreddits for $29.** ParseStream's $29 plan has 20 Reddit
keywords and 15,000 credits, and its card does not say what a credit buys. Redwatcher's $29
plan is 25 keywords and 25 subreddits, and the two larger plans are $49 for 50 and $89 for
   100.
2. **Unlimited team members on the entry plan.** ParseStream's $29 plan comes with one team seat,
and the two plans above it come with three and eight. On Redwatcher every plan has unlimited team members.
3. **A second brand or client is a second project.** ParseStream's plans come with one, three or
five domains. On Redwatcher each brand or client is its own project from $29, with its own
keywords, subreddits, rules and alert channels.
4. **A score from 0 to 100 with the reason, and a correction that becomes a rule.** ParseStream's
page lists lead detection that tags a mention's intent as buy-intent, pain-point or competitor
complaint, and AI filters you write. Redwatcher writes the reason under every thread. Under one
thread the reason reads *"A buying decision in progress, with the requirements and the budget
stated"*, and that thread scores 94. When a score is wrong, you say what was wrong, and it
becomes a rule that every later match is judged against.
5. **You write what you post.** ParseStream drafts a reply in one of four approaches for you to
copy and post. Redwatcher does not write replies and does not post them, on purpose. It finds
the thread, scores it, explains the score and links to it.

![The Redwatcher inbox for a Klaviyo project: a thread scored 94, a competitor comparison scored 88, and a job post scored 24 and skipped, each with the reasons underneath](img/product-inbox.webp "**The Redwatcher inbox**, captured 31 August 2026. Every thread shows its score, the word that matched is highlighted in the title, and the reasons are underneath. Anything under your bar is not sent, and you can still read it.")

![A thread scored 94 being corrected to 38, and the correction saved as a scoring rule](img/product-scoring.webp "**Tell it what was wrong, and it becomes a rule.** Captured 30 August 2026. Redwatcher writes the correction into your scoring rules and re-scores the thread.")

![The Competitors step of Redwatcher's setup: six competitors tracked with their spellings, and two more suggested to add](img/product-setup.webp "**Setup starts from your website.** Captured 30 August 2026. Redwatcher reads it and proposes the subreddits, the keywords, your competitors and the spellings people use, and checks each subreddit against Reddit as you accept it.")

![A Redwatcher alert for a thread scored 94, as a real-time Slack message and in a batched email digest, each with the reasons and a View on Reddit button](img/product-alerts.webp "**Email, Slack, Telegram and a signed webhook, on every plan.** Captured 30 August 2026. ## Which one to pick

Redwatcher, if Reddit is the platform you care about and you write your own replies.
[The ranked list](/best-reddit-monitoring-tools) scores each tool on it at its entry price and says why tools that write replies are left out, and
[Reddit alerts](/reddit-alerts) shows what a scored alert contains and where it can go.

## How do you move from ParseStream to Redwatcher?

Copy your Reddit keywords out of ParseStream and paste them into Redwatcher. If you told
ParseStream to watch only certain subreddits, bring that list too. Give it your website address and it proposes
the subreddits to watch, then choose the lowest score you want an alert for, and pick email,
Slack, Telegram or a webhook. Run both for the week of the trial and compare what each one sends
before ParseStream's next bill.

## What other questions do people ask about ParseStream?

### What is ParseStream?
ParseStream is a lead generation tool that monitors Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, X and Hacker News
for your keywords, tags each mention's intent, and drafts a reply for you to copy and post. Its
own page describes it as turning online conversations into qualified leads, and it starts at $29 a
month for 20 Reddit keywords and one seat. Redwatcher watches Reddit for 25 keywords at $29 and
does not write replies. Read from parsestream.com on 20 September 2026.

### How much does ParseStream cost?
ParseStream costs $29 a month for Lite, $79 for Pro and $199 for Growth when billed monthly, or
$24, $67 and $169 a month when billed yearly, with an Enterprise plan priced on request. Lite
has 20 Reddit keywords, one domain and one seat. Pro has 60 Reddit keywords, three domains and
three seats. Growth has 150 Reddit keywords, five domains and eight seats. Redwatcher costs $29 a
month per project. Read from parsestream.com and
redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026.

### Does ParseStream have a free trial?
Yes, ParseStream has a three-day free trial on Lite, Pro and Growth, and its page says you can cancel any
time, but does not say whether a card is needed to start. After the trial the plans start at $29 a
month. Redwatcher has no plan at $0 either: the trial is seven days with no card, then $29 a
month per project for 25 keywords and 25 subreddits. Read from parsestream.com and
redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026.

### Does ParseStream write Reddit replies for you?
Yes, ParseStream drafts replies. Its FAQ says its AI drafts a reply for each mention in one of
four approaches and that the reply mentions your brand. Its page describes the last step as copy,
post and engage, so you post it yourself. Redwatcher does not write or post replies, on purpose:
it finds the thread, scores it from 0 to 100, explains the score and links to it. Read from parsestream.com on 20 September 2026.

### How many keywords does ParseStream include?
ParseStream includes 20 Reddit keywords and 20 Hacker News keywords on its $29 plan, 60 of each
plus 10 each for Quora, LinkedIn and X on the $79 plan, and 150 of each plus 25 each on the $199
plan, with a custom count on Enterprise. Redwatcher includes 25 keywords at $29, 50 at $49 and 100 at
$89, and a competitor you track counts as one keyword. Read from parsestream.com and
redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026.

### Which subreddits does ParseStream monitor?
ParseStream's FAQ says it monitors posts and comments across all public subreddits for your
keywords, and that you can restrict monitoring to specific subreddits, which its plan cards list
as a subreddit filter. Redwatcher watches only the subreddits you name, 25 on the $29 plan, so
nothing arrives from a subreddit you did not choose. Setup proposes them from your website and
checks each one against Reddit as you accept it. Read from parsestream.com on 20 September 2026.

### What happens when you hit ParseStream's limits?
ParseStream's FAQ says that if you reach a limit on keywords, credits or brands you can upgrade
your plan or contact sales for a custom plan. The limits on the $29 plan are 20 Reddit keywords,
15,000 credits, one domain and one seat, and the page does not say what a credit is. Redwatcher's
plans go by keywords and subreddits, 25, 50 or 100 of each, and there is no charge per mention.
Read from parsestream.com and redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026.

### Does ParseStream send alerts to Slack?
Yes, ParseStream lists email and Slack notifications on every plan, including the $29 one. Redwatcher
delivers alerts by email, Slack, Telegram and a signed webhook on every plan, including the $29
one, and sends only the matches above the score you set. Read from parsestream.com on
20 September 2026.

### Is ParseStream good for agencies?
ParseStream's $29 plan comes with one domain and one seat, its $79 plan with three of each, and
its $199 plan with five domains and eight seats, so an agency's clients share one plan's domains,
seats and keywords. On
Redwatcher each client is a project of its own from $29 a month, with its own keywords,
subreddits, rules and alert channels, and unlimited team members on every plan. Read from
parsestream.com and redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026.

parsestream.com and redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026.

the thread, scores it from 0 to 100, explains the score and links to it, and you write what goes
into the thread. ParseStream drafts a reply for you to copy and post, and its
