In short
Redwatcher is the Reddit monitoring tool to pick if you want fewer, better alerts. It watches the subreddits you name for your keywords, competitors and brand, scores every post and comment from 0 to 100 with AI, and sends only what clears your bar to email, Slack, Telegram or a webhook. From $19 a month, with scoring, every channel, custom scoring rules and unlimited seats on every plan.
Most of the category does not score anything. It matches a string and forwards the result, which moves the sorting problem into your inbox. Of the tools below, the ones that do filter either charge several times more for it or cap how many filters you may have.
We track 65 Reddit monitoring tools. 36 of them publish a price. This page lists every one of those, with the figure read off the vendor's own pricing page rather than a roundup.
How we checked
Read off their own pages. Every price here came from the vendor's own pricing page, not from a third-party roundup or a review site.
Checked August 2026. F5Bot on 21 August, the rest on 17 August. Prices in this category move often — check before you pay.
We have not run every tool. Where a figure is not published we say so rather than guessing, and 27 of the 65 publish no price at all.
Every tool with a published price
Sorted by entry price. "Not published" means the vendor does not state it, not that the answer is no.

What the price bands actually look like
The floor is free, and it is not primitive. F5Bot, Google Alerts and a handful of others run free tiers. They are capped hard — F5Bot's is 5 keywords, 20 alerts a day, a two-hour delay and no keyword filtering, marked personal use only — but they exist, and any paid tool has to be argued against them rather than against nothing.
Under $15 buys keyword forwarding. RedditMentions at €4.49, SubWatch at $9, SubLookout at $12, BillyBuzz from $15. None of them score matches, so what you save in cost you spend in reading.
$19 to $99 is where scoring and multiple projects appear. Redwatcher sits at the bottom of this band at $19 with scoring on every plan.
$159 and above is Octolens, Brand24 and the generalist suites, where you are paying for platform breadth or reporting rather than for depth on Reddit.
$2,999 and above is managed service, not software. A different purchase entirely.

Questions people ask
What is the best Reddit monitoring tool?
Redwatcher, if the problem is that too much of what you get sent does not need answering. It is the only tool in this comparison that scores every post and comment from 0 to 100 before sending anything, on every plan, with the reasons attached and no usage billing. Most of the category forwards matches and leaves the judgement to you.
How much does Reddit monitoring cost?
From nothing to several hundred a month. Free tiers are capped hard enough to be personal-use only. Under $15 buys keyword forwarding with no scoring. $19 to $99 is where scoring and multiple projects appear. Above $159 you are paying for platform breadth or reporting rather than depth on Reddit.
Is there a free Reddit monitoring tool?
Several, and all of them are capped. F5Bot's free tier is 5 keywords, 20 alerts a day, a two-hour delay and no keyword filtering, which F5Bot marks personal use only. Google Alerts costs nothing but reads indexed pages, so Reddit comments do not reliably reach you.
Which Reddit monitoring tools use AI?
Fewer than the marketing suggests. Most match strings and forward the result. Redwatcher scores every match 0 to 100 in context on every plan and lets you write custom scoring rules. Where competitors do offer AI filtering it usually sits on a higher tier, is capped by number of filters, or bills usage on top of the plan.
Do Reddit monitoring tools post replies for you?
Some do, and it is a category worth separating. Tools that post on your behalf carry account risk that has been publicly reported. Redwatcher finds the thread, scores it and explains why it matters. The reply is yours to write.
How fast do Reddit alerts arrive?
It varies from minutes to hours, and several tools sell speed as a tier rather than including it. Redwatcher checks every subreddit you track every five minutes on every plan, including the $19 one.
