About Redwatcher

1. What it does

You name the subreddits to watch and the terms to watch for. Redwatcher reads posts and comments across those subreddits around the clock, multiple times an hour, and scores every match from 0 to 100 for relevance in context.

Matches that clear the score you set are sent to email, Slack, Telegram or a webhook, each carrying the reasons behind the number. Matches below it stay in the app, counted, so nothing is discarded without a record. Median freshness is about 15 minutes.

Scoring rules are yours to write in plain language, and a score you disagree with is corrected in one click. The correction becomes a rule and applies to later matches.

Setup takes your website and suggests the subreddits and keywords worth watching, so you start by editing a list instead of writing one from scratch.

2. What it does not do

Redwatcher does not write replies and does not post them. It finds the thread, scores it, explains the score and links to it, and you write the reply. That limit is deliberate, and it is not on the roadmap.

It covers Reddit. Hacker News, Lobsters and other forums are outside its scope.

3. What it costs

Price is per project, and each project is bought at a size: $29 for 25 keywords and 25 subreddits, $49 for 50 and 50, $89 for 100 and 100. Larger volumes are priced case by case.

Every feature is on every size, including relevance scoring, custom scoring rules and all four alert channels. Only the two allowances change. Team members are unlimited and are not charged per seat.

A project is one thing you monitor: one brand, or one client, with its own keywords, subreddits, rules and alerts. An account holds as many projects as you need, each paid at its own size. New accounts start on a seven-day trial that takes no card.

4. Who we are

Redwatcher is an independent product, funded by what customers pay for it. It is not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Reddit, Inc., and Reddit is a trademark of Reddit, Inc.

5. Who it is for

It gets used three ways. Founders and small teams watch their own category for people describing the problem they solve, usually before any brand is named. Marketing and support teams watch their own brand and its spellings, so a complaint or a question is answered while the thread is still open. Agencies run a project per client, each with its own keywords, subreddits, rules and alerts, switching between them in the sidebar.

It suits a business that intends to answer threads itself. It does not suit anyone looking for volume-based reporting across many networks, or for something that writes the replies.

6. Questions

How often does it check? Every tracked subreddit is checked around the clock, multiple times every hour, on every plan. Median freshness is about 15 minutes.

Does it read comments as well as posts? Both. A post title starts the conversation, and the question you can answer is usually further down in the comments.

What does the 0 to 100 score mean? It is a relevance judgement made in context, with the reasons attached to the thread. You set the score a match has to reach before it is sent, and you correct any score you disagree with in one click.

Which alert channels are included? Email, Slack, Telegram and a signed webhook, on every plan. No channel is gated behind a higher tier.

Is there a limit on how many matches reach me? No. There is no per-keyword daily cap and no monthly quota on matches; the score you set decides how many arrive.

Can I cancel or change size? Yes, at any time, up or down, per project.
