Reddit monitoring that scores every match before it reaches you
Updated 31 August 2026
In short
Redwatcher is a Reddit monitoring tool that scores every keyword match for relevance before it alerts you. You name the subreddits and the terms. It reads posts and comments across them around the clock, multiple times every hour, scores each match from 0 to 100 in context, and sends what clears your bar to email, Slack, Telegram or a signed webhook.
From $29 a month per project, with scoring, every alert channel and unlimited seats on every plan. Seven-day trial, no card.
Searching Reddit tells you what was said. Monitoring has to tell you soon enough that a reply still belongs in the thread, and it has to do that without sending you every stray use of a common word.
A monitoring tool is judged on two things. How much of the conversation it covers, and how much sorting it leaves you to do afterwards.

What gets monitored
You choose the subreddits. Redwatcher reads both posts and comments in each one, and matches them against your keywords, your brand names, your competitors, and the spellings people actually use for all three.
Coverage is decided by which subreddits you name, and setup does not leave that to memory. Give it your website and it reads the site, then comes back with subreddits, keywords, competitors and the spellings people use for all of them. Each suggested subreddit is checked against Reddit as you accept it, so you finish with communities that exist and are still active.

How often it checks
Every tracked subreddit is checked around the clock, multiple times every hour, on every plan. Median freshness is about 15 minutes.
Every plan is checked on the same schedule. The two amounts that change with the size are how many keywords and how many subreddits you may track.
What the score is for
Every match is scored from 0 to 100 for relevance in context, and the score carries the reasons behind it. A thread where someone is choosing between two products in your category scores differently from one where your brand appears in a resale listing, and the page tells you which reading it took.
You set the bar. Matches that clear it are sent. Matches below it stay in the app and are counted, so you can see how much came in and where you drew the line.

Scoring rules are written in plain language, saying what you want to hear about and what you do not. A score you disagree with is corrected in one click, and the correction becomes a rule that applies to every later match.

Where the alerts go
Email, Slack, Telegram and a signed webhook, on every plan. Slack and Telegram install in one click. Every channel has a test button that sends a real message, so you can confirm it works before the first real match arrives.

A webhook carries the thread, the score and the reasons, which is enough to route a match into Zapier, Make or your own system without a second lookup.
| Destination | How it connects | Included on |
|---|---|---|
| The address on your account | Every plan | |
| Slack | One click, into the channel you pick | Every plan |
| Telegram | One click, no bot token to create | Every plan |
| Webhook | A signed POST to any URL | Every plan |
What coverage looks like from the inside
Stats show every tracked subreddit, how much of it was read, and every check hour by hour. If a subreddit stops being covered, you can see it on that screen the same day.

What it does not do
Redwatcher does not write replies and does not post them. It finds the thread, scores it, explains the score and links you to it, and you write the reply. That limit is deliberate. Automated posting gets accounts banned, and the ban lands on your brand, not on the tool.
It covers Reddit. Hacker News, X and the open web are outside its scope.
What it costs
Price is per project, and each project is bought at a size.
| Size | Price | Keywords | Subreddits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | $29/mo | 25 | 25 |
| Medium | $49/mo | 50 | 50 |
| Large | $89/mo | 100 | 100 |
Larger volumes are priced case by case. Relevance scoring, custom rules and all four alert channels are on every size, and only the two allowances change. Team members are unlimited and are not charged per seat.
A project is one thing you monitor: one brand, or one client, with its own keywords, subreddits, rules and alerts. An account holds as many projects as you need, each paid at its own size. Every competitor you track counts as one keyword against the project's allowance.

Reddit monitoring: questions people ask
What is Reddit monitoring?
Watching Reddit for the terms you care about, such as your brand, your competitors and the problems your product solves, and being told when one of them appears instead of going to look. A monitoring tool reads posts and comments in the communities you name and sends you the matches.
What does Reddit monitoring cost?
$29 a month per project for 25 keywords and 25 subreddits, $49 for 50 and 50, and $89 for 100 and 100. Relevance scoring, every alert channel and unlimited team members are on all three; only the two allowances change. The trial runs seven days and takes no card.
How fast does Reddit monitoring need to be?
Fast enough that a reply still belongs in the thread. Every subreddit is checked around the clock, multiple times every hour, on every plan, and median freshness is about 15 minutes.
Does it monitor Reddit comments as well as posts?
Both. Most of the conversation you would want to answer happens in comments, so a tool that reads only posts sees a fraction of it.
How many subreddits can I monitor?
25 on the $29 plan, 50 on $49, 100 on $89. You name each one yourself, so nothing is pulled in from a general index you did not choose. More than 100 is a custom plan.
Does it work for agencies with several clients?
Yes. Each client is a project with its own keywords, subreddits, rules and alerts, paid at its own size, and you switch between them in the sidebar. Team members are unlimited on every plan.
