Reddit brand monitoring, with every mention scored
Updated 31 August 2026
In short
Redwatcher tracks your brand, its misspellings and your competitors across the subreddits you name, and scores every mention 0 to 100 in context before alerting you. Posts and comments both, checked around the clock, multiple times every hour.
A mention in a thread where someone is choosing between products and a mention in a listing for a second-hand item are very different things, and the score tells them apart. Redwatcher is a Reddit monitoring tool that scores every keyword match for relevance before it alerts you. From $29 a month, seven-day trial, no card.
Why Reddit is a different brand-monitoring problem
Most brand mentions on Reddit are not addressed to you. They happen inside a conversation between other people: someone asking which tool to use, someone answering with the one they already have, someone complaining about the one they left. By the time you find the thread by hand, the person asking has usually made up their mind.
So brand monitoring here has to do two things. Get you there while the thread is still live, and let you pick out the mentions worth answering without reading all of them.

What gets tracked
- Your brand, and the spellings people actually use. Every name goes in with its variants, so a mention that misses the official capitalisation still counts.
- Your competitors. Each one counts as a keyword against your allowance, and the threads that name them are usually the threads where a choice is being made.
- The problem you solve. People describe the problem long before they know your name, and nobody in those threads has taken a side yet.
| What you track | Why it is worth an alert |
|---|---|
| Your brand, plus its spellings | Catches the mention that misses the official capitalisation |
| Your competitors | The threads where somebody is choosing between products |
| The problem you solve | People describe the problem before they know your name |
Setup proposes all three from your website, together with the subreddits where they come up, and checks each subreddit against Reddit as you accept it.

Every mention scored, with the reasons
Every mention is scored from 0 to 100 for relevance in context, with the reasons attached. A thread where someone is choosing between two products in your category is not the same as one where your name turns up in a job post, and the score says how it read each of them.

You set the score to be alerted above. Mentions below it are kept and counted in the app instead of being thrown away, so you can still see how many came in.
Scoring rules are yours to write in plain language. If a customer-support thread matters more to you than a purchase decision, the rules say so. A score you disagree with is corrected in one click and becomes a rule for every later mention.

Getting there while the thread is open
Every tracked subreddit is checked around the clock, multiple times every hour, on every plan, and median freshness is about 15 minutes. Alerts arrive by email, Slack, Telegram or a signed webhook, all four included on every size.

What the coverage numbers show
Stats lists every tracked subreddit, how much of it was read and every check hour by hour, alongside how many mentions cleared your bar and how many did not. A month of brand monitoring comes out as figures you can put in a report.

Is this Reddit social listening?
It is social listening narrowed to one platform. A general social listening tool spends one allowance across every network it covers, so the share left for Reddit is whatever the other networks did not use. Here the whole allowance is Reddit: 25 named subreddits and 25 keywords at $29, with no cap on how many mentions reach you.
It does not cover the rest of the category: no X, no Instagram, no review sites, no press. If your brief spans several networks, this handles the Reddit part of it and you will still need something for the others.
Replies stay yours
Redwatcher does not draft replies and does not post them. It finds the mention, scores it, explains the score and links you to the thread.
For brand monitoring that limit matters. Reddit communities react badly to accounts that only ever show up to promote something, moderators are people, and a reply that reads as automated gets held against the brand that sent it.
What it costs
Price is per project, and each project is bought at a size.
| Size | Price | Keywords | Subreddits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | $29/mo | 25 | 25 |
| Medium | $49/mo | 50 | 50 |
| Large | $89/mo | 100 | 100 |
Larger volumes are priced case by case. Scoring, every alert channel and unlimited team members are on every size.
A project is one brand, or one client if you are an agency, with its own keywords, subreddits, rules and alerts. An account holds as many projects as you need, each paid at its own size. Seven-day trial, no card.

Reddit brand monitoring: questions people ask
How do I monitor Reddit for brand mentions?
Name the subreddits where your customers talk and the terms you want watched: your brand, its spellings and your competitors. Redwatcher reads posts and comments in those communities around the clock, scores every mention for relevance, and alerts you on the ones that clear your bar.
Can I track my competitors as well as my own brand?
Yes. Each competitor is a keyword against the project's allowance, and competitor threads are usually the ones where somebody is choosing between products.
What counts as a relevant brand mention?
That is yours to define. Scoring rules are written in plain language, and correcting a score writes a new rule, so a support complaint can outrank a purchase decision if that is what matters to you.
Does it catch misspellings of my brand?
Spellings sit under each name, and setup proposes the variants it finds from your website. A mention that misses the official capitalisation or drops a letter still matches.
How many brands can I monitor?
One brand per project, and there is no limit on projects. Agencies run a project per client, each at its own size, switching between them in the sidebar.
Is Reddit brand monitoring the same as social listening?
It is the Reddit part of it. A general social listening tool covers many networks out of one allowance; here the whole allowance is Reddit, at 25 named subreddits and 25 keywords from $29, with no cap on how many mentions reach you.
What is brand monitoring and why is it important?
Brand monitoring is watching for public mentions of your brand so you can answer the ones that matter. It matters more on Reddit than on most platforms, because the threads rank in search and are read months later by people making the same decision. A question about your product that nobody answered keeps being the answer they find.
How to track social mentions?
Name the terms and the places, then filter what comes back. On Reddit that means the subreddits your customers actually use, your brand and its spellings, your competitors, and a score that decides what is worth an alert.
Does Redwatcher reply to mentions for me?
No. It finds the thread, scores it, explains the score and links you to it, and you write the reply.
