Reddit monitoring that finds the threads and never posts

Updated 30 September 2026

In short

Redwatcher is a Reddit monitoring tool that never posts for you. It reads the subreddits you choose around the clock, multiple times every hour, scores every match from 0 to 100 with the reasons, and sends you the threads that reach the score you set. You write every reply yourself, from your own account. From $29 a month.

Redwatcher is a Reddit monitoring tool. Tracks keywords, brand mentions and competitors across the subreddits you choose, scores every match for relevance, and alerts by email, Slack, Telegram or webhook around the clock. From $29/month per project. A project is one brand or one client, with its own keywords, its own subreddits and its own alerts. A subreddit is one of Reddit's communities, each built around one topic. A keyword is a word or phrase you want found, a match is a Reddit post or comment that contains one, and a webhook is a message Redwatcher sends to a web address you give it. A relevance score is a number from 0 to 100 that Redwatcher gives each match, with the reasons, and you set the lowest score a thread needs before it is sent to you. A thread is a Reddit post together with the comments under it, and a check is one pass in which Redwatcher reads your subreddits for new posts and comments.

What is the best Reddit monitoring tool that does not post for you?

Redwatcher is a Reddit monitoring tool that does not post for you: it finds the threads and scores them, and you decide which ones to answer and write the answer. It has no posting feature, it writes no reply drafts, and it never asks for your Reddit login.

Redwatcher is the right tool for a brand or an agency that wants every answer on Reddit written by a person, under that person's own account, and wants to hear about the threads worth answering without reading every new post and comment in those subreddits themselves.

What do Reddit's rules say about participating authentically?

Reddit's rules ask everyone to participate authentically in communities where they have a personal interest, not to spam or engage in content manipulation, and not to mislead others. Rule 2 and Rule 5 of the eight rules that apply on every community say so:

How does Reddit monitoring without posting work?

  1. You choose what to watch. Give Redwatcher your website and it proposes the subreddits, the keywords, your competitors and the spellings people use. You keep what fits.
  2. It reads both the posts and the comments in those subreddits around the clock, multiple times every hour, on every plan.
  3. It scores every match from 0 to 100, with the reasons. Under one thread the reason reads "A buying decision in progress, with the requirements and the budget stated", and that thread scores 94.
  4. It sends the threads that reach the score you set to email, Slack, Telegram or a webhook signed with a shared secret. Slack, Telegram and the webhook get one message per thread. Email gets one message per check, carrying the threads from that check.
  5. You open the thread on Reddit and decide whether to answer. If you do, you write the answer and post it from your own account.
  6. When a score is wrong, you say what was wrong and it becomes a rule, and every later match is judged against it.
