Reddit marketing tool: the monitoring kind, and what a marketing team does with a scored mention

Updated 21 September 2026

In short

A Reddit marketing tool is one of three things: an ad tool, a tool that posts for you, or a tool that watches Reddit and tells you what is being said. Redwatcher is the third kind. It watches the subreddits you name for your brand, competitors and keywords, scores every mention, and alerts your team. From $29 a month.

Redwatcher's figures are from redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026. The screenshots are Redwatcher's own screens with an example project, captured 30 and 31 August 2026.

Redwatcher is a Reddit monitoring tool. Tracks keywords, brand mentions and competitors across the subreddits you choose, scores every match for relevance, and alerts by email, Slack, Telegram or webhook around the clock. From $29/month per project.

How we checked

The prices and allowances on this page are Redwatcher's own. Redwatcher wrote this page about its own product. The prices are read from redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026. The screenshots are Redwatcher's own screens with the example project shown on redwatcher.com, captured on 31 August 2026 for the inbox and on 30 August 2026 for the rest, and the scores and reasons in them belong to that example. The $30 budget and the $100 starting price in them belong to the example too, and Redwatcher sells nothing at either price. We read no other tool for this page and priced none, and we did not capture the screens again on 20 September 2026.

Which kind of Reddit marketing tool is Redwatcher?

The monitoring kind. A search for a Reddit marketing tool returns three different products under one name: tools for buying and managing Reddit ads, tools for writing and scheduling posts, and tools for watching what people on Reddit say about your brand, your competitors and the things you sell. Redwatcher does the third and only the third. You name the subreddits, you name the keywords, and it reads every post and comment in those communities, scores each match, and alerts you. You decide what to do with an alert: write a reply yourself, or take it to whoever builds the product.

What does a marketing team do with a scored mention?

Redwatcher's suggestion for a marketing team is to answer the threads scored high, read and file the ones scored in the middle, skip the ones scored low, and let the score decide which is which. A thread scored high is one where somebody is choosing right now, and it goes to whoever answers questions about the product. A thread scored in the middle is one to read and file, because it says what people think of you or of a competitor. Redwatcher keeps a thread scored low out of your alerts, so nobody has to read it, and it still shows in your count on the Stats screen. Redwatcher writes the reason under every score, so the person who picks up the alert knows why it came. Under one thread the reason reads "A buying decision in progress, with the requirements and the budget stated", and that thread scores 94. A thread choosing a replacement for a named competitor scores 88, and a job post that names the brand scores 24 and is skipped, because there is nothing in a job post to answer. The three scores are read from the inbox shown below, captured 31 August 2026.

The Redwatcher inbox for a Klaviyo project: a thread scored 94, a competitor comparison scored 88, and a job post scored 24 and skipped, each with the reasons underneathThe Redwatcher inbox for a Klaviyo project: a thread scored 94, a competitor comparison scored 88, and a job post scored 24 and skipped, each with the reasons underneath
The Redwatcher inbox, captured 31 August 2026. Every thread shows its score, the word that matched is highlighted in the title, and the reasons are underneath. Anything under your bar is not sent, and you can still read it.

You set the bar, and you can correct the scoring too. When a score is wrong for your product, you say what was wrong, and it becomes a rule that every later match is judged against. In the example, the thread scored 94 above is corrected to 38: the buyer asked for something under $30 a month, and the example project starts at $100.

The thread scored 94, corrected to 38 because the buyer's budget is under the vendor's starting price, and the correction saved as a scoring ruleThe thread scored 94, corrected to 38 because the buyer's budget is under the vendor's starting price, and the correction saved as a scoring rule

How does a marketing team set up Reddit monitoring?

From the website. Give Redwatcher your website address and it proposes the subreddits to watch, the keywords, your competitors and the spellings people use for all three, and checks each subreddit against Reddit as you accept it. A competitor counts as one keyword. Each brand or client is its own project, with its own subreddits, keywords, scoring rules and alert channels, so an agency running several brands keeps them apart, and every plan has unlimited team members. Where do the alerts go for a marketing team?

To email, Slack, Telegram or a signed webhook, on every plan, and to more than one of them at once. For a team, we suggest a Slack channel per brand: the alert lands where the people who answer already are, with the score, the reasons and the link to the thread. Redwatcher checks every subreddit you track around the clock, multiple times every hour, and sends a match as soon as it clears your bar. Every channel has a test button that sends a real message. What does Redwatcher not do as Reddit marketing software?

Redwatcher does not run ads, does not schedule or publish posts, does not write replies and does not post them. You write the reply yourself, from your own account, and that is deliberate: posting under your name carries account consequences that have been publicly reported. It watches Reddit only, so if your brief covers other networks too, it handles the Reddit part. Tracking competitors on Reddit covers how to be in a thread without being removed.

What does the monitoring kind cost a marketing team?

Redwatcher costs $29 a month per project for 25 keywords and 25 subreddits, $49 for 50 of each, and $89 for 100 of each, with every feature on every plan. Scoring with the reasons, corrections that become rules, email, Slack, Telegram and webhook alerts, and unlimited team members are all on the $29 plan, and there is no charge per mention. The trial is seven days with no card. Read from redwatcher.com/pricing on 20 September 2026.
