How do you choose which subreddits to track?

Give Redwatcher your website address and it proposes the subreddits where your buyers talk, along with the keywords, your competitors and the spellings people use, and checks each subreddit against Reddit as you accept it. The Subreddits step of setup takes one community per line, as a name, as r/name or as the full address, and a Suggest more button proposes further ones. In the screenshot below the example project has seven subreddits saved and six more suggested in the box, and the screen says the project covers 50, with room for 43 more. How many subreddits can you track?

Redwatcher tracks 25 subreddits on the $29 plan, 50 on the $49 plan and 100 on the $89 plan, each with the same number of keywords, and more than 100 is a custom plan. The count is on the Subreddits step while you add them, and you can move a project up or down a plan at any time. Each brand or client is its own project with its own list, so an agency with eight clients runs eight projects, each with the subreddits that client's buyers use. How do you know every subreddit is being checked?

The Stats screen shows whether every subreddit you watch is being checked. A line at the top says whether every subreddit due to be checked in the period was checked. Under it, the screen shows how much of each subreddit was read, comments and posts separately, and every check, hour by hour. If a subreddit stops being covered, that screen shows it the same day.

What does a subreddit alert look like?

A subreddit alert from Redwatcher carries the thread with the matched word highlighted, the score from 0 to 100, the reasons, and a link to the thread, in Slack, Telegram, email or a signed webhook. What does subreddit tracking not do?

Redwatcher does not read subreddits you have not named, does not write or post replies, and does not cover anything outside Reddit. If a community matters, it goes on the list, and the Stats screen shows it being checked. For a community you are unsure about, Redwatcher suggests adding it and reading what arrives for a week: a match under your bar stays in the inbox, where you can read it, and if a subreddit brings nothing, you can remove it from Setup at any time.
